The sun and I

The sun smiled, I smiled back.
We both knew what it meant.
The sun kissed my forehead, My heart fluttered. We both felt it. The sun and I.

The sun and I, Went on a train ride.
We travelled far. We dazzled them.
They did not fathom it. We did.
The sun and I.

  1. This is a very short and lovely poem. I like the idea however, it lacks punch that short poems do have. I blame most of it on the arrangement of the poem. I think starting each sentence on a new line would have helped give it a punchy feel. All in all, I think its great. You can play around in subsequent times. Cheers.
