The sun and I

The sun smiled, I smiled back.
We both knew what it meant.
The sun kissed my forehead, My heart fluttered. We both felt it. The sun and I.

The sun and I, Went on a train ride.
We travelled far. We dazzled them.
They did not fathom it. We did.
The sun and I.

    Man and wife.
    Man and muses.
    Man and nature.
    Woman and sun.

I love that anyone could connect with this on a personal level.

    Sweet stuff.

This is a very short and lovely poem. I like the idea however, it lacks punch that short poems do have. I blame most of it on the arrangement of the poem. I think starting each sentence on a new line would have helped give it a punchy feel. All in all, I think its great. You can play around in subsequent times. Cheers.
